Sedentary: Characterized by much stillness and little physical exercise
That's what happens, honestly, when you're the figurehead of a ship.

Well, that's what I am now but I wasn't always.

I started out as an entertainer, a chanteuse if you will, on the great cruise ship The Titania. I sang after second supper for all the posh gents and ladies ,and they all loved my songs and my little dances.

Well, one night when we were out in the middle of the ocean, right over the site where an old galleon had been wrecked, we got hit, struck even, by a mighty bolt of lightning, the ship was sunk and we were all thrown overboard and into the water.

I didn't know any of this, of course, until much later, because I was sleeping when the ship was struck, and, well, I must have been almost right in the middle of where the bolt hit, because I... crossed that night, and somehow became one with the galleon's figurehead.

Later on, when they went about salvaging the wrecks, they found this beautiful figurehead (me!) on the ocean floor, just lying there, so they salvaged me as well and took me away to a very important nautical museum where they put a tag on me and left me in a storeroom for safekeeping while they decided where would be the best place to put me on display.

Well, I lay there for some time, several days and nights, just getting used to things, and thinking, and then I got bored, and one night I just opened my eyes, stretched my legs, climbed off of that bench and walked out of that very important nautical museum.

So that's my story, and now I'm the figurehead and the bellringer on the Vampirate ship, as well as being a bit of a vampirate myself.

[Darcy Flotsam is of average height, heart-faced and a bit mousy, which is difficult to do given as how brassy her attitude is. She's usually wearing a flapper dress and a headband with a feather in it atop her almost-severe bob.

She's small, she's cute, and outwardly there's no sign she's a vampire.

Also: she turns to wood in the sunlight instead of falling asleep or burning up like other vampires.]
